What is jay haas?

Jay Haas is a retired American professional golfer who had a successful career on the PGA Tour. He was born on December 2, 1953, in St. Louis, Missouri. Haas turned professional in 1976 and went on to win nine PGA Tour events during his career.

Haas is best known for his consistent play and steady demeanor on the golf course. He was a member of three Ryder Cup teams (1983, 1995, 2004) and had several top-10 finishes in major championships, including a T3 at the Masters in 1995.

After turning 50, Haas found success on the Champions Tour (now known as the PGA Tour Champions) where he won multiple events, including the Charles Schwab Cup in 2006 and 2008. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2004.

Haas comes from a golfing family, with his son Bill Haas also having success on the PGA Tour. Jay Haas currently works as a golf analyst for the Golf Channel and continues to be involved in the golf community.
